Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery, commonly known as ANM, is a village Level female health worker in India, who is first contact person between the community and the health services. ANMs are regarded as the grass- roots workers in the health organization pyramid. Their services are considered important to provide safe and effective care to village communities. The role may help communities achieve the targets of national health programmers. The ANMs works at health center like PHC, (Primary Health Centre) CHC (Community Health Centre) & UHC (Urban Health Centre).
Eligibility:
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 Years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission in sought
- The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years
- The minimum educational requirements shall be 10+2 in art (Mathematics, Physics, chemistry, biology, Bio technology, Economics, Political Science)
- Students shall be medically fit
- Student qualified in 10+2 Arts, or Science examination Candidates are also eligible from state school recognized by state government & National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central government.
- Students shall be admitted once in a year
